拝啓　皆様におかれましては益々ご清栄のこととお慶び申し上げます。

さて、弊、株式会社メディアサービスは、英国試験機関 SafePharm Laboratories Ltd.（SPL）との日本における総代理店契約を近々解消するに至りますが、同機関の受託します安全性毒性試験、新規化学物質の届出、登録等の業務を2008年1月以降もご提供をして参ります。　

SafePharm Laboratories Ltd（以下SPL）は、今夏、米国Harlan Sprague Dawley, Inc に吸収され、RCC LtdとSPLは、Harlan Sprague Dawley, Inc / RCC Ltdグループの一員として単一の受託研究機関となりました。この度、グループの日本法人、RCC ジャパン株式会社様がRCC Ltd とSPLの単一の受託研究機関の日本における代表機関になったことを受けて、弊社の日本におけるSPLの総代理店関係は解消されることになりました。

1987年より20年間の長期に亘りSPLの規模拡大化にお客様各位より賜りましたご支援に深く感謝し、同時に、SPL業務仲介者としての弊社に多大なご支援を賜りましたことに大変感謝を致しております。あらためて厚く御礼申し上げます。

弊社経由でSPLの業務を受託致しました案件につきましては、今後とも弊社が責任を持ってSPLとの間のご連絡、確認のご対応をして参ります。また取り交わさせて頂きました機密保持契約および誓約案件も同様なお取り扱いをさせていただきます。

2008年初頭よりの６か月間は、SPLとの弊社の代理店関係解消に至る遷移期間として、またその後も、RCCジャパン株式会社様と協力関係を保ちながら、SPLの新規受託案件を仲介して参ります。弊社としては、今まで以上のサービスをご提供できるように努力をして参る所存でございます。

SafePharm Laboratories Ltdからのご案内

Dear Valued Customers,

You may be aware that as of July 11th, Safepharm Laboratories Ltd. (SPL) became part of the Harlan group of companies. The Harlan group includes the RCC non-clinical contract research organisation, which has facilities in Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Canada and India. The two CRO companies make an excellent fit in terms of the services they offer and of their customer base. The last few months have seen a lot of activity in the company in order to integrate these services so as to provide a better service to our clients. Integration teams have been established to ensure that best practice is taken forward in all areas of common operations.

For more than 20 years SPL has had a sole agency relationship with Media Services Ltd. (MSL). With the assistance of MSL, SPL has built an enviable reputation in Japan as one of the leading providers of non-clinical research and is the number one non-Japanese provider of CRO services to the Chemical Industry in Japan. RCC has an in-house office in Japan and provides a similar service to RCC as MSL does for SPL. A decision has been taken to transition the agency service of the SPL clients in Japan to RCC-Japan over the next six months. However, an agreement has been reached between RCC-Japan and MSL so that Japanese clients can continue placing studies with SPL via MSL. Furthermore, for existing projects MSL will continue to act as the agent for SPL and will convey correspondence between you and SPL until the completion of the project, if you so wish.

The combination of RCC and Safepharm results in a greater capacity for projects and the ability to meet our clients’ needs by utilising the joint facilities to optimise turnaround times and to provide specialist services. For example, the joint expertise and experience in chemical notification projects is such that you can be confident that whatever your particular notification needs may be we can deliver the desired outcome. RCC and Safepharm together form one of the largest CRO organisations in the world, and backed by the global power of the Harlan group, you can be assured of the future growth and development of our services.

In the next few days you will receive correspondence from Mr Anzai, the President of RCC-Japan introducing his company to you and giving details of the new arrangements.
